Intro

Until recently the banknotes printed by the Bank of Thailand were inspected individually by human employees. As an intern I developed and deployed a system to do it automatically.

Description

Using infrared cameras connected to a standard computer, hundreds of banknotes could be inspected per second.

Some of the errors checked for were excessive ink, typos in the serial number, or misalignments.
