Senior C++ developer from Europe with focus on safety critical software.
Passionate about clean, modern C++ code, currently learning Rust and loving it.
Open to remote work and only for very special positions open to relocation within the EU.
My original background was very close to the hardware: processor architectures, hardware design and low level embedded software without any operating system. I'm also fascinated by operating system design, compilers and programming languages design.
I started my career as a hardware engineer, desiging safety critical for the LHC accelerator at CERN.
I then specialized in embedded software developement... and slowly made my way up to modern C++ for different aplications.
Now that I moved to more abstracted software at the application level, I still think this "low level" background really enables to see the full picture and what's going on under the hood, making me a more complete engineer.
